Set as many tiers as you need: minimum quantity → discount percent. Tier 1 might be 2 units for 5% off, tier 4 might be 10 units for 25% off.
Shopify Function enforces it
A native product discount Function checks cart quantity at checkout, so the discount is always correct, even if a shopper edits their cart after the page loads.
Storefront nudges toward the next tier
The cart shows a live "Buy 2 more to get 20% off" badge next to the line item, updating the instant quantity changes, no page refresh.

How a store actually uses this
