SmartDiscount Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SmartDiscount ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when a merchant installs the App on their Shopify store.

Information We Collect

When you install SmartDiscount, we access and store:

• Your shop's domain and API access token, used to authenticate requests to the Shopify Admin API on your behalf.
• Configuration you create in the App: shipping rules, discount rules, volume discount campaigns, BOGO campaigns, free gift rules, cart drawer design settings, and similar feature settings.
• Product, collection, and cart data retrieved via the Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs, solely to power the features you configure (e.g. applying a discount, showing a progress bar, rendering a recommendation).

We do not collect payment card details, and we do not access your customers' personal information beyond what's required to apply discounts and render storefront widgets (e.g. cart contents and totals).

How We Use Information

Information is used only to operate the App's features for your store, including:

• Applying the discount, shipping, and bundle rules you configure.
• Rendering storefront widgets (free shipping bar, cart recommendations, cart drawer customization, volume discount messaging).
• Diagnosing and fixing issues with the App when you contact support.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

When you uninstall SmartDiscount, we receive Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook and delete the shop's stored access token and configuration data. Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, shop redact) are also supported.

Third-Party Services

We use Shopify's own APIs (Admin API, Storefront API, Functions) to provide the App's functionality. We do not share your data with advertising or analytics third parties.
